Chickens
After attending a Poultry show at the State fair, I came away with a new appreciation of the variety in the shape, size and plumage of the different breeds of birds.
When I reached out to the local Poultry Association, members literally flocked (pun intended…) to my studio, bringing their prize winning birds in for a portrait session.
One member even convinced her neighbor to come along and help wrangle the 22 chickens she brought in that day.
I discovered that day that most of the birds were mellow and would literally work for chicken feed…
